Let Go

"Let go, it’s for the best all round.”

With pain and obvious reluctance she let go.

That small precious bundle of joy and grief.

Changed, never seen again, never the same.

Let go, it’s time to part. Life’s chapter closed.

Last glance, fleeting caress. One torn to two.

Love always remembered, bringing lost memories.

Parted, never again whole, always searching.

Let go, there’s nothing more to do.

Dead’s as dead is. Yet, a whisper glimpse, memory.

A lifetime together, an eternity apart.

Love, once chance, once lost never found again.

Let go.
