It was a country
That saw many
Hardships and sufferings
That had also braved
Through many wars
She was previously
Just a fishing village
Where people went through tough times
The conflicts they faced
Through the years
That had passed incessantly
From that very fishing village, it is
Now, nurtured into an urban city
With high advanced technology
It is all thanks to our forefathers
For what we are today
