That Love

Once a broken dream,
A wasted love it was,
Left unclear and lost in the mist.
Never intend to look back,
For the past need not be rewritten.
Broken lies and the insecurity I had,
Make me never dare stray too far again.
I saw you struggling back,
You held on to all that you’re left with,
Promise to find back what you lose.
I turned away from you,
For I’ve forgotten all that is mine,
The feelings will be gone in no time,
It’s just a game of two I lost,
After the fall I’ll be standing once more,
Through the rain I’ll become stronger.
Back then I used to cry alone,
Shedding tears which are never of worth.
Since then time healed the wounds,
I’m all ready to start anew.
Now half a year had passed,
You still cling onto the love we knew,
I could not deny what I know,
Your feelings for me now are true.
I know somewhere in my heart,
I still miss the way we loved,
And all we used to be.
I took all I had and followed my heart,
Believed once more,
Trust you with all that I’ve got.
Gave you a chance,
You took my hand.
Together we seem like we’ll never part,
Hand in hand we’ll cross the line,
Till eternity you’ll still be mine.
Right now we had beat the phrase,
“Never meant to be” was never you or mine.
Because baby we’ll make it if we’re heart to heart,
Keep my heart close to you,
Even when the stars collide,
Together we’ll see it through.
Just you and me this time round,
We’ll stay unbreakable,
Fate got us going on,
Love leads us to forever.
