Don't
Before you pass your hurtful comments
Don't.
Because you don't know
And what you don't know
Won't hurt you
But it will hurt those you criticise.
Before you make a judgment
Stop.
Because you have no clue
Of the ties that bind.
Of the hours spent in rehearsals
Of the laughter and angst
Of the fellowship of sisters.
Of the surrogate family that has been formed.
Before you say a word.
Don't.
Because no one cares to listen
To words that harm,
Uttered by ignorant tongues.
Don't.
Mrs Debra Tan
