Lost Innocence

Santa Claus
Once real to me
Seems but a distant memory.

Christmas elves,
Fairy dust and such
Believed in that once too much.

Childish hopes,
Magical fantasies.
Far from truth and reality

The days past by
And I grew up
Lost my innocence like a pup

Santa Claus
Now, memories
I’m past the stage of naivety.
