Lost

It’s calling, calling me continually
It attracts me with its colours
But I wouldn’t dare to go near
Afraid I would disappear

It spreads like tissue absorbing water
Eating and eating incessantly
Grabbing everything in its way
Eats until it’s satisfied

No one was there
Everybody gone
For once
I wish the stars would carry me along with their cluster

I waited for the clouds to cry
But ‘it’ never came
It never would
It never could

The wind howls
Making it worse
The trees helped
Destruction occurs

And finally, the fire eludes me…
