Music in the Madness

Written Especially.

You try to act without a care
Behind the mask, no one can stare
No one can guess what you’re about
But the inner voice begins to shout.

No matter how different you try to be
You try to block, attempt to flee
You can never ignore the human heart
Its need to love, to feel a part

Of this common path that you hope to find
To seek yourself, to free your mind.
Life’s a frenzied, crazy race.
Sometimes a sting, a slap in the face

But the moment you realized that life was a dance
You freed yourself, gave chance a chance.
Removed the mask, and with no care
The inner you fights the stare with a stare.

The tune has started, so step right in.
The new you fits like a second skin.
Wring the smile from the sadness
Find the music in the madness.
