Bittersweet
Bittersweet memories flooding
The cemetery, in this cliché of tragedy.
Beautiful black sweeping gowns of velvet and satin,
Faces hidden by masks unseen by the world.
Chaos and depression have unfurled.
Crimson roses dancing and swirling but
Pierced by whirling winds of hate.
And what has caused such deep irate?
Crystal tears that stained those cheeks,
She wiped them away but again they leak.
The plastered smile she strained on her face,
Have not escaped the dark twist of fate. She knows
As she wiped those tears away.
Reality that nags the brain, crushing away each grain
of the dwelling refusal to believe the truth.
Accepting reality isn’t as easy as it should be.
He’s gone. Beneath that heavy coffin is where he lies,
His face, his eyes will haunt her dreams at night.
But he’ll be there basking in the light, to take away
Her burdens to the skies.
One night…
Perhaps one night.

Hey Natasha! Haha, here to comment on yours. I realised you like to write sad poems, like heartbroken ones...Aww, very heartrending and painful at times...Can you imagine that?
Btw, I really love the use of diction in this poem. :P
